So, this is just a quick update to let everyone know that God is so good and faithful to us. About a week and a half ago, I was calling churches about our ministry and asking them if we could come speak to them. Most of the responses were negative and even though I am not supposed to let these things affect my attitude, I did. To add on top of that, our monthly finances which need to be raised have increased as well. Needless to say, God always has a way of coming through and showing us that He is still in control. The next day, which happened to be Saturday, we were going over to my parents house and Brooks went and got the mail before we left. Inside the mailbox was a very significant check that helped to cover the increased cost of living as well as help us get further on our way to having the finances needed to go to Kenya this summer. The lesson that I have learned in all of this is that God is always faithful and He knows exactly where the money is coming from, so to worry about it and fret over it does no good.
We need to give everything in our lives over to Him and let Him work out the details. He knows exactly how and when everything is going to happen, and to try and figure it ourselves is just futile.
